BURLINGTON, Vt.  – New limited border hours went into effect across our region on Monday. The new plan by US Customs and Border Patrol to shorten hours at crossings in Vermont and New York. As of midnight on Monday, those changes are now in effect. 38 ports of entry along the northern border are getting reduced hours – 8 in our region. CBP says it will help the agency use its resources more efficiently. Some crossings will shorten their hours while others will maintain the abbreviated hours adopted during the pandemic.
