LITTLETON — Four years ago, Christopher and Amanda Huyler relocated to Littleton. They were drawn by the area’s outdoor recreation, particularly the proximity of PRKR MTN, the 25-mile trail network located in the heart of town. An active volunteer and member of the PRKR MTN board, Chris Huyler died in a tragic hiking accident on Nov. 22. He was 44. In response to his passing, PRKR MTN announced last week that the Upper Nuke Trail will be renamed Huyler Way, honoring his memory and his contributions to local trails. PRKR MTN Trails expressed the desire that Huyler’s memory will inspire others: “We hope you’ll join us in celebrating his incredible legacy by getting out on Huyler Way, joining the poker run, or living life the “Huyler way.””
