State Reviewing Options for Red Listed Bethlehem Hollow Bridge Over Ammonoosuc River

State transportation officials are studying options for a nearly century-old bridge that spans the Ammonoosuc River in Bethlehem Hollow.Officials with the New Hampshire Department of Transportation addressed the Bethlehem Select Board last week. In 2017, the department red-listed the bridge along Route 142 between Wing Road and Maplewood Hill Road because of its overall poor condition. Because of its structural and geometric deficiencies, the bridge was introduced in the state’s 2021-2030 10-year transportation improvement plan. Funding will be both state and federal.
