CARROLL — Select Board Chair John Greer announced his resignation on Nov. 21. Greer cited family reasons for his departure. Meeting minutes state, “[Greer] is expecting a grandchild and feels it is unfair to the other members of the Select Board to be away for much of the winter.” In his final meeting Nov. 21 Greer suggested using a portion of the unreserved fund balance to reduce the tax rate from $13.34 to $11.90. A unanimous vote approved the proposal. Greer was elected to a two-year seat in March 2023. Brian Mycko will fill the open seat through the Town Meeting in March.
