BRADFORD, Vt. (WCAX) – Police say a woman escaped an attempted kidnapping by hitting her assailant in the face. At around 5:10 Wednesday evening in Bradford, police say a woman was walking through a parking lot across at the intersection of Lower Plain and Waits River Road when a man grabbed her from behind. The woman describes the man who grabbed her as a black male between 5′9 and 6 feet tall wearing a green sweatshirt, and that he was driving a gray or silver pickup truck with damage on the driver’s side.
