On Wednesday, a little more than a year after forming, the Northern Border Alliance Task Force issued its progress report for the second half of 2024, detailing arrests, incidents, and collaboration with the U.S. Border Patrol about suspicious activity at the Canadian border. According to state officials, the initiative has been a success that has benefited federal partners and reduced federal violations. The program was launched to tackle illegal immigration at the Canadian border, as well as crimes and illicit activity occurring within 25 air miles of the border.
