NEWPORT, N.H. — Two Massachusetts men were arrested after bringing a massive drug operation over state lines, investigators say. Police said 28-year-old Ricardo Antonio Lara Guerrero and 24-year-old Jason Checo Severino came from Lawrence, Massachusetts, to bring drugs into New Hampshire. They allegedly had more than 1,200 grams of fentanyl, which police said is thousands of times stronger than the typical 0.03-gram dose. The arrests were made through Operation Granite Shield, a state-funded initiative targeting drug trafficking. Over the summer, they made several initial arrests through Operation Granite Steal, which led to additional arrests in November before they made these apprehensions last week.
