Less than two months after the Barnet Select Board authorized an advisory board to vet applications for the flood relief fund, the fund now has more than $34,000 and is being disbursed to those in need. The emergency Barnet Flood Recovery Fund, which the board previously agreed can be a one-time town-administered fund, was set up by Barnet residents to help those who incurred property damage from the July 10 and 11 rains from Hurricane Beryl.
