LYNDON, Vt. (WCAX) – A Northeast Kingdom town is coming up short on road salt. The Town of Lyndon posted on its Facebook page that they don’t have salt for the roads. In that post, the town says they usually get road salt from New York, but because of a state of emergency, New York isn’t exporting any. The town is also down three plow trucks. Officals ask drivers to be patient as road crews do the best with what they have.
