Somersworth Man Arrested for Nude Run on Highway After Stolen Car Crash

DOVER, N.H. — A Somersworth man was arrested Sunday after police say he ran naked through traffic on Route 16 following a crash.  State police said they received multiple calls about a nude man in the highway’s travel lanes. Troopers arrested Shawn Weiner, 35, and transported him to a hospital for minor injuries sustained in the crash. Authorities said Weiner was involved in a crash on Varney Road in a car that had been reported stolen. He allegedly fled the scene, removing his clothes before crossing the highway. Weiner faces multiple charges, including indecent exposure and lewdness, reckless conduct, and disorderly conduct. Dover police, who investigated the initial crash, have filed additional charges, while Somersworth police continue investigating the reported vehicle theft.
